Grand Opening Celebration

& Siyum Sefer Torah

Event will begin at the corner of Market & Front St, where a live Band will meet the Torah. We will then march with the Torah through the streets of Downtown to our new center.  The program will continue with the Grand Ribbon Cutting ceremony of our NEW location at 472 3rd Avenue.

Dedication Opportunities

I would like to participate in the writing of the Chabad of Downtown S. Diego Sefer Torah.

      Endow letters of a Jewish name for yourself, your family or a friend.

     Endow a word in the Torah that has special meaning to  

       you, your family, or a friend.

  A YAD (pointer) will be engraved with your family name.

 Breastplate.....………………...…...….…SPONSORED

      Sterling silver breastplate representing the twelve tribes

       will adornthe Torah. Your family name will be engraved

       along with the twelve tribes.

Paroches .......…………………...…...…........$5,000   

       The curtain that covers the Holy Ark. Your family name will

       be embroideredon this beautiful sewn Paroches that will

       stand at the front of the synagogue.

Crown..............…………………...…........…$7,700

     The beautiful sterling silver crown, with your family name

      engraved, will be prominently displayed above the Torah.

Shul Mezuza..............…………………...…....…$3,600

     A beautifully inscribed mezuza will adorn the front door of

       our new center.

 

All contributors will have the opportunity to inscribe their letters with the scribe at the Torah dedication ceremony.

 

Dedications are available for various special occasions i.e. birthday, anniversary, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and Yartzeit. Rabbi Zalman Carlebach is available to discuss the spiritual significance of the various dedication opportunities. Call 619-301-7450.
