ABOUT PAULA SHOYER:

Paula Shoyer has been in the food business since 1996.  She runs the Paula's Parisian Pastries Cooking School from Chevy Chase, Maryland and teaches classes in French pastry and Jewish cooking, up to 12 classes each month.  The school is popular because she teaches custom classes where people choose the menu they want to learn.

She is completing a book on parve desserts called "The Kosher Baker" which will be out Summer 2010.  Her website,
www.paulaspastry.com, contains cooking tips and parve dessert recipes.  Her "Kosher Baker's Blog" brings on-line the constant Kosher baking questions she receives. www.kosherbaker.blogspot.com.

She was the recipe tester and editor of the highly successful Susie Fishbein books:  Kosher by Design Entertains and Kosher by Design Kids in the Kitchen.

She has appeared several times on local TV, national radio and currently filming a pilot TV show on Kosher baking.  Her classes were featured in a Washington Post Express article about giving people gifts that are experiences rather than things.  She teaches cooking at a sleepover camp in Massachusetts.  Her work at the camp was featured in the Massachusetts Jewish Ledger article, "Cooking up a Summer at Camp Ramah".
